Audit Innovation AccelerationSenior Analyst
This position is national with proximity to a US-RSM local office.
RSM's Audit Innovation group is recruiting an InnovationAcceleration Sr. Analyst. Working closely with RSM's Acceleration Center, across functional team chartered to advance collaboration, efficiency, and adoptionof emerging technologies - this role will support leadership, assess, define, andcapitalize on specific emerging technology opportunities for RSM and ourclients.
The Sr. Analyst will focus predominantly on two prioritytechnology verticals: Automation and Data Analytics, and include additional areasdetermined to require acceleration in the future. This role will directlyimpact the services and solutions RSM provides our clients and tools we use torun our business. The Sr. Analyst will support use cases acceleration,developing resources or proof of concept solutions, technology enablement,research, and thought leadership.
Essential Duties:
Use Case Acceleration:
- Support development of an evaluation process and tool to analyze and prioritize opportunities
- Assist Audit teams to identify potential Automation / Data Analytics use cases
- Build business cases and recommendations
- Document "as is" model and highlight challenges
- Define "to be" model leveraging recommended emerging technology
- For approved use cases design and/or develop PoCs using emerging technologies
Tool & Technology Enablement:
- Maintain an inventory tools and products currently being leveraged by the firm both internally and externally; Document the existing relationship, license agreement, reseller agreements and point of contact
- Conduct research to identify and evaluate tools to support internal and external use cases
- Evaluate product and tools and make recommendations
- Take trainings and become fluent in selected technologies
- Work with IT to establish process and guidelines to procure infrastructure, test/support new technologies, manage data security and risk concerns in coordination with Audit policies
- Act as the primary liaison between the Audit practice, the Acceleration Center team and IT
Capability Development:
- Support the development of the resource strategy
- Identify and evaluate 3rd party vendors that could be leveraged as a flexible workforce
- Support development of training content
- Deliver training as needed
Research & Thought Leadership:
- Inventory and organize all existing research content that has been created to date
- Solicit and identify research topics
- Perform primary and secondary research
- Inventory and organize all existing thought leadership content that has been created to date
- Solicit and identify thought leadership topics
- Contribute to thought leadership development
- Identify and coordinate events and distribution channels
Operations:
- Support PMO requests and updates
- Drafted status reports
- Maintain document repository and tracking systems
Basic Qualifications:
- Requires a minimum of a Bachelors degree, accounting, business or computer science preferred
Technical/Soft Skills requirements:
Knowledge of Emerging Technologies:
- Requires two years of Automation experience:
- Automation Anywhere, UiPath, and/or AI concepts and technologies
- Requires a minimum of two years of Data & Analytics experience:
- PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau
- Requires a minimum of two years of business process mapping experience
- Ability to thrive in an ever changing environment
- General business knowledge
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two to five years of related audittechnology experience
- Technical project or product management
- Master's Degree preferred
- CPA highly desired
