About the role:
Are you looking for a patient-focused, innovation-driven company to inspire you and empower you to shine? Join Takeda as an Information Technology Business Process Expert - Data & Analytics where you will provide leadership and technical expertise to rapidly stand-up new data solutions and perform complex data analysis against various large structured and unstructured data across different domains and systems. Develops reporting and analytics from connected data, enabling the business to advance data-driven decision-making capabilities. Performs troubleshooting and root cause analysis of concerns regarding data flow representation and data quality processes. Partners with the team in defining and implementing continuous improvement opportunities. You will also conduct, facilitates, and influences analytical assessments conceptualizing business needs and translating them into analytical solutions. Works across teams and defines various data set requirements (i.e., Takeda data, third-party data) to identify business rules and IT technical and architecture structure to move efforts forward rapidly and efficiently, adhering to Takeda's enterprise architecture principles, best practices, and business goals. part of the US Business Unit and Global Portfolio Commercialization, you will report to IT Business Partner Commercial Operations.
How you will contribute:

  • Ability to understand, consolidate and transform various data sets related to commercial IT Pharmaceutical data focusing on areas such as Customer Master, Specialty Pharmacy, Contracts & Pricing, Biological Distributors, product launch analytics, and other commercial data engineering needs
  • Build and maintain technical solutions required for optimal ingestion, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources and large, complex data sets.
  • Develop and implement data quality checks in alignment with business requirements.
  • Define data engineering techniques and best practices for data transformation, data integrity, test design, validation, and documentation.
  • Perform root cause analysis of business concerns about data flow and complex pipelines through data quality processes, customer master, and the data warehouse, in collaboration with business, IT teams, third-party data vendors, and software providers.
  • Support the Commercial Operations Team and Franchise analytics team for data-related questions, analysis, and reporting related to the Commercial ecosystem and related interfaced systems.
  • Partner with technical engineering teams, enterprise data backbone, solution architects, and third-party partners to develop a technical architecture for strategic data-driven commercial initiatives. Evaluate, implement and deploy emerging tools and processes for analytic data engineering in order to grow and shape the future of analytics in Commercial


Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering preferred
  • 8+ years of strong professional experience working in the areas of data warehousing, ETL, and business intelligence.
  • Strong Knowledge and expertise with SQL, Informatica tool stack, and QlikSense/Tableau Reporting
  • Strong knowledge of Redshift, AWS Lambda, and/or Databricks highly preferred
  • Experience with Informatica Big Data Management and Databricks with Tidal Scheduler is a major plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Collaborative mindset and teamwork, with the ability to challenge and engage an audience toward better outcomes
  • Strong knowledge and expertise with Commercial data ecosystem processes and platforms - CRM, MDM, Omnichannel Marketing, data warehouse/data lake, Field Sales Reporting, Alignment/Targeting, and Incentive Comp
  • Prior and proven ability to learn new data systems with minimal, formal training.
  • Experience in commercial data modeling within an enterprise environment
  • Prior experience with Data Engineering projects and teams at an Enterprise level
  • Experience with developing solutions for cloud computing services and infrastructure in the data and analytics space
  • A good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle is mandatory
  • Expertise in Agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and experimentation
