The Systems Analysis job participates in the designing of information systems that are appropriate for users' needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. Working under general supervision, this job is responsible for analyzing information from system users to formulate the scope and objectives of the system and preparing the design of possible systems solutions.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Defines system scope through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.
  • Prepares flow charts, models, and procedures and conducts feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.
  • Prepares technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
  • Collaborates with system analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems and to determine project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, systems performance standards, and interfaces.
  • Analyzes and proposes revisions to existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.
  • Assists in the development of training sessions and demos for end users.
  • Monitors the efficiency and effectiveness of application operations and troubleshooting problems, as necessary.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

Work Experience

  • 2+ Years Required; 3+ Years Preferred

The Client Services Technology team within TIAA is searching for a motivated, enthusiastic, proactive Systems Analyst to join its Retail Application Platforms. This Systems Analyst will be responsible for support of production applications and infrastructure. The Individual will analyze and execute technical support requests, incidents, issues, tickets and business continuity activities, to ensure flawless and quality delivery of services to end users.

Additional Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide support, perform analysis and research on application related issues.
  • Monitors the efficiency and effectiveness of application operations and troubleshooting problems, as necessary.
  • Take ownership of and investigate root cause of incidents or problems



Required Skills:

  • 2 or more years of experience working as Systems Analyst
  • Must have experience with systems networking, databases and user support
  • Experience with problem solving



Preferred Skills:

  • Proven self starter and able to work independently
  • A result oriented individual who thrives working in a fast pace environment
  • Experience with SQL or Oracle



Potential Salary: $85,100.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
