Job Description
We are looking for an incident response analyst to join our Core SOC Incident Analysis Team. As an incident analyst, you will be on the front lines handling active security incidents, providing support for response actions, and assisting with remediation efforts. You will be expected to have the experience and knowledge to investigate suspicious activity and identify indicators of compromise across multiple platforms.
You will conduct investigations for complex and sophisticated security incidents to identify root causes. You will coordinate identification, containment and remediation phases of the incident response process and communicate with leaders of the organization and with customers.
This role requires you to be able to work independently, as well as part of a small team. It will be necessary to maintain a skill set in investigating computer security incidents to include; network devices(switches, routers, firewalls) and protocols (TCP/IP), Operating Systems (Windows, *nix, etc), and familiarity with common techniques used by malicious actors.
Experience with multiple OS types including Windows, Linux, Cisco etc.
Experience with handling computer security incidents and effective crisis communication
Able to conduct analysis to determine impact of security incident
Able to conduct network analysis to determine root cause of incident
Knowledge of exploit kits and adversary techniques
Be detail oriented and able to conduct accurate notes, relevant information, and other aspects of the analysis process to be used for reporting purposes
Willingness to mentor junior analysts in tradecraft, techniques, and procedures.
Experience with Endpoint Detection Response tools preferred
Experience with cloud security analysis and response a plus
Experience with analysis software a plus
Preferred experience with security related briefings to upper management and customers
Familiarity with network traffic tools a plus
Basic Requirements
3+ years experience with incident response analysis or related field.
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field or relevant experience
