Overview

AvePoint is seeking an HR Data Analyst to help provide actionable insights to our People team. In this role, you will report directly to our Chief Analytics Officer and partner closely with the People team and other department leaders to collect, compile, and analyze HR data, metrics, and statistics. This data will be utilized to extract insights and make recommendations related to recruitment, retention, productivity, and compliance.

What will you be doing?

  • Collect, compile, prepare, and analyze data in the People/Talent domain in order to provide insights for HR and other organizational decision makers.
  • Partner with various teams and functions such as talent acquisition, learning & development, diversity, equity & inclusion, retention and engagement, commission, and other operations teams to quantify and optimize the results.
  • Define data strategy, design metrics, implement KPIs, and quantify the key results.
  • Design experiments in order to drive continuous improvements and sustainability.
  • Apply advanced analytical, statistical, and machine learning techniques to determine patterns in the HR domain.
  • Prepare and present professional reports, dashboards, charts, presentations, and other visuals for leadership team and executives, as well as self-service capabilities for operations.
  • Work with other technology and applications teams to quantify and improve the data quality and introduce additional data elements and integrations as needed.
  • Deliver independent business data, analysis, and insights for the function.
  • Create visualizations to communicate trends, patterns, outliers and status.
  • Gather, design, and deliver reports and dashboards from human resources and other business group leaders to help them make data driven decisions.
  • Collect, prepare, blend, organize, and store data from both internal and external sources by working with technical departments and vendors.
  • Ensure security, privacy and compliance of handling of sensitive worker data with data privacy regulations and best practices.

Other qualities that will make you a fit for this role include:

  • 5+ years of experience analyzing HR data.
  • Degree in data analysis, statistics, economics, or other quantitative field.
  • Required experience with HR related applications and data.
  • Strong sense of ethics, morality, and privacy when it comes to handling of sensitive data.
  • Understanding of local, state, and federals laws involving employment, HR, and HR policies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Expertise with modern data analysis tools and technologies such as SQL, Excel, Python, R, Power BI, Power Query and data science workbenches.
  • Demonstrated success in developing relationships and trust with leadership at all levels.
  • Able to present and discuss complex mathematical ideas to a diverse business audience.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and change; able to roll up sleeves to get things done with limited data/resources and willing to try different approaches.
  • Highly organized, able to work through complex problems, set priorities and diligently execute on commitments, and follow-up with dependencies.
