Role Profile

Morgan Stanley?s Human Resources team is undergoing a major transformation as roles are being refined and responsibilities being reassigned. In conjunction with these efforts, Morgan Stanley is looking for a Data Analytics and Reporting Lead to support the daily payroll activities as well as key project initiatives designed to enhance processes. This role will report directly to the Payroll Managing Director and support team of employees located both in New York and in Morgan Stanley?s Alpharetta, GA and Columbus, OH locations. Morgan Stanley is seeking an experienced manager with Human Resource and Payroll knowledge who has strong analytical skills, ability to identify and produce key metrics and develop reports that effectively convey payroll status for senior management. Daily activities will require that systems supporting the generation of payroll be effectively managed. Organizational skills, project management experience and is ability to effectively communicate to drive initiatives is required. Engaging and coordinating with other Human Resources and Information Technology teams will be essential in ensuring success.


? Supervise daily operations of this Human Resources team

? Manage data required to effectively process payroll ? including 3rd parties and internal firm functional group

? Work with ADP on system configuration requirement

? Obtain, document and analyze reporting needs and requirements through collaboration with department leader

? Translate reporting needs into production reports and dashboard and develop ad-hoc reports as required

? Work with various data sources to develop reporting capabilitie

? Identify and incorporate automated data processes where feasible

? Develop metrics / key risk indicators and track team performance

? Perform analysis and develop recommendations for continuous improvement opportunitie

? Develop metrics / key risk indicators and tracking team performance

? Prepare and present reports to the Human Resources management team

? Lead key project initiatives designed to enhance payroll processe

? Manage issues tracking to resolution


Skills, Qualifications and Experience

? Strong data analytical and reporting skill

? Experience managing a team in responsible for data analytics and reporting

? Knowledge of databases and exposure to technology solution

? Robust organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple demands and changing prioritie

? Experience in working within a Payroll / Human Resources environment

? Solid presentation skills and ability to effectively communicate to all level

? Bachelor?s degree and 10+ years working in a data analysis and reporting role

? Ability to build relationships and partner with other team

? Ability to deal with the uncertainties of an evolving, dynamic organization

? Ability to work in a fast-paced, high change environment

? Strong attention to detail with excellent prioritization skill

? MS-Project, MS Excel, and general MS-Office skills essential

? Project management experience is a plus
