The BIDS team at BJC is growing and delivering truly new and innovative data and analytics solutions to the BJC Health system. We are excited about this journey and are looking to add experienced leaders to our team. This people manager on BJC's BIDS team will lead technical teams responsible for building new solutions as well as supporting existing production solutions. Technical knowledge and the ability to articulate the concepts of these solutions in a data and analytics environment are key success factors.

Role Purpose

Responsible for managing systems analysis and applications development projects and/or programming, administration and support activities through direct and indirect staff. Directs development teams in the areas of scheduling, technical direction, future planning and standard development practices. Accountable for business and clinical applications systems selection and development and continued maintenance of such systems to improve efficiencies. Participates in budgeting and capital expense processes. Responsible for managing client and supplier relationships. Serves as the manager of a unit, section or major function and typically supervises personnel who are first-line supervisors or persons having professional level responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  • Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed.
  • Manages client and supplier relationships.
  • Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies.
  • Assembles project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review, and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 10+ years of experience
  • 5-10 years of supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
