What you'll be able to do:

Lead the overall governance of immigration requirements and processes for International Business Travelers and Remote Workers globally. This includes:

  • Serve as the Company's global immigration subject matter expert.
  • Manage global immigration strategy related to regulatory changes, project launches, prevailing wages; communicate to impacted employee populations and business leaders, as needed
  • Monitor external environment and propose policy or process changes through creation of business case development; execute the delivery implementation of approved changes.
  • Collaborate closely with Office of General Counsel (OGC) and Government Relations to stay ahead of all current and proposed legislative changes and expedite appointments with consulates as required for business-critical travelers.
  • Maintain global list of internal Ford contacts authorized to sign immigration paperwork/ applications globally.
  • Participate in benchmarking initiatives to analyze existing global immigration strategy and processes to resolve competitiveness, current applicability, cost efficiency, etc.
  • Partner with vendors to ensure immigration processes are efficient, streamlined and provide a good customer service experience.
  • Assess and create meaningful insights from voice of the customer data sources to highlight trends and find opportunities for improvement in policy and process.
  • Support HR, People Leaders, Talent Mobility Regional Teams and others on required immigration processes related to International Business Travelers.
  • Lead a team of Global Immigration Specialists (Provide oversight and internal process instructions for completion of government required forms, monitor volume, quality, timeliness, and delivery of services).
  • Develop and facilitate global immigration related training sessions as needed with recruiting, HR skill teams, People Leaders and other cross-functional stakeholders
  • Assist with immigration and compliance related projects, as needed

The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of Global Immigration experience including immigration practices outside of the US
  • 2+ years in a team leadership role and/or project management experience

Our preferred requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Immigration Law/Master's degree
  • Prior Global Mobility experience
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong project management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team, team-oriented approach
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
