The Functional Specialist leads the implementation, data management, testing, training, and maintenance of several University Relations software platforms. They are the functional business unit expert for each system and liaison between fundraising, alumni relations, donor relations, advancement communications and IT. They will create complex and non-complex event registration forms, surveys and giving forms and ensure data accuracy between systems. Their work will support fundraising efforts through managing an integrated data environment between the donor database and digital platforms.

The position works in collaboration with the Division of Information Technology on data integrations and RPA solutions and troubleshoots and tests platform performance. They deploy and provide access to all systems as needed, maintain user accounts, and work directly with outside vendors in managing and maintaining the configuration and functionality of hosted solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Business, Administration, Fundraising,

Marketing or related areas of study

  • Minimum 2 years' experience with technology, user application and development, and/or user support

Experience public or commercial user-facing Internet systems and user-facing mobile, cloud/hosted applications.

    • Familiarity with fundraising database software such as Advance Web, Salesforce, or Raisers Edge.
    • Proficient with Excel and Microsoft Office 365 Suite
    • Demonstrated ability to manage vendors and others in implementing projects, from developing project plans to perform post-project evaluations.
    • Knowledge of e-mail marketing and event management tools and techniques, and crowdfunding platforms.
    • Ability to learn new technology quickly
    • Knowledge of development/fundraising concepts preferred.
    • Resourceful, critical thinker who uses sound judgement and problem solves.
    • Ability to maintain confidential information related to nature of work.
    • Able to work collaboratively and serve as a bridge between technical and relational colleagues
