KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Functional Architect performs in a highly consultative and collaborative role vital to helping drive large scale and comprehensive functional capabilities across the Forge SaaS platform and into Honeywell's cutting-edge SaaS applications
  • Work alongside Forge technical architects and product managers and design the various functions and features within the Forge platform to meet the needs of our SaaS applications and their industrial use-cases
  • Partner across various Honeywell industry domains with business/product/engineering members globally to solve and provide functional platform solutions
  • Gather SaaS product use-cases and functional/business capability requests as well as SaaS platform best practices
  • Abstract and synthesize the information captured into functional SaaS platform designs and proposals
  • Analyze complex persona journeys and their corresponding data flows
  • Perform detailed user & data journey analysis alongside Product and UX
  • Translate requirements, journey analysis, and best practices into domain-agnostic, extensible platform functionality and designs
  • Work alongside platform Product managers & engineering teams to translate platform functionality and data objects into platform delivery epics, user stories, etc.
  • Create functional architecture documentation/presentations that describes the domain-agnostic platform functionality and data objects and how they can be extended to enable domain-specific/app-specific use-case.



YOU MUST HAVE

  • 3+ years' experience in product modeling of enterprise software / SaaS software
  • 1 year deconstructing requirements and designing abstract solutions
  • 1 year defining and articulating business requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's degree or Masters' degree in STEM Preferred
  • Experience in product management/product ownership related to enterprise software / SaaS software
  • Experience/related work/understanding of modern platform trends (microservices, data mesh, API-first, mobile-first, etc.)
  • Background/understanding of industrial operations activities (asset management, labor management, maintenance operations, etc.) and their personas (plant managers, technicians, etc.) in one or more industry domains (e.g., building management, oil & gas, warehouses, etc.)
  • Excellent time management, project management and analytical/problem-solving skills
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and flexible with a positive attitude
  • Efficient at multi-tasking and able to work under pressure to deliver multiple business demands on-time, to a high-level standard
