Department Profile: The Finance Division reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of some 3,000 employees worldwide. Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm's books and records and by contributing to firm wide risk management and risk reduction. This division maintains relationships with Morgan Stanley's various industry and government regulators and also serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community. Finance plays a critical role as advisor to Morgan Stanley's various businesses and its senior management team.

Team Profile: The Data Services team within Finance Shared Services team provides a key support function necessary for the timely and accurate submission of statistical and supervisory returns filed to various Regulators across global jurisdictions. The Data Services team supports the wider Finance organization by executing key controls to support the data accuracy of Internal and External reporting and driving data issue resolution with cross-functional teams. This is a high profile area of the business and it is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting and growing team and develop your reporting knowledge.

You will:

Monitor daily feed delivery for various products, supporting downstream reporting functions.

Perform data accuracy and completeness checks for data attributes.

Perform data profiling and identify data quality issues.

Inform users of / escalate critical data quality issues that may impact global calculations and reporting.

Review analytics to verify accuracy of financial reporting movements and liaise with key stakeholders to substantiate movements where applicable.

Perform adjustments to correct for data quality issues.

Produce data quality metrics for IT, Senior Management, and key stakeholders to monitor / measure progress and prioritize the Data Services agenda.

Support tactical and strategic data issue resolution.

Conduct ad-hoc data analysis for stakeholders.

Review and update relevant policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or above, Master's degree is a plu

1+ years relevant working experience in the financial services industry

Proficiency with Microsoft Office
