Fraud Operations Analyst III
Department Summary
The Billing and Credit department supports the needs of DISH subscribers, agents, installers, and external departments by providing up front analysis for enterprise releases and projects. The department also provides support for back office operations and processes. The department is comprised of multiple facets with specific focus on targeted operational objectives that include, but are not limited to:
- Billing Accuracy
- Credit Qualification
- Customer Payments
- Customer Fraud and Revenue Assurance
- Customer Delinquency, Collections, and Bankruptcy
- Customer Installation Damage Claims
- Third Party Provider Payments
Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Business Operations Analyst is responsible for a high level review of the DISH Wireless Business. In addition to reviewing and investigating new customer activations, Analyst will review and present complex analyses to the business, compiling information for drawing conclusions, and summarizing the findings for management review. The analyst will monitor and respond to current and newly developed operational policies, procedures, and systems among multiple lines of business. This role supports risk management, fraud prevention, and other assignments for the Billing and Credit department.
Primary responsibilities include the following:
- Conduct research related to vulnerabilities in various parts of the DISH Wireless Business.
- Analyze current processes and procedures in order to maintain them or make recommendations to promote effective operations.
- Responsible for preparing and delivering recommendations to facilitate changes in policies and procedures.
- Assist in the completion of difficult projects that are broad in nature by following general guidelines.
- Maintain and apply knowledge of practices and procedures in their area of expertise.
- Create, analyze, and report complex data sets mainly utilizing Excel or Google spreadsheets.

Skills, Experience and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Mathematics, or another related field.
- Experience with data analysis, including the identification of trends and outliers
- Experience working with Microsoft SQL a plus.
- Experience in the telecom, wireless, and/or financial industry is a plus.
- Ability to identify potential business risks and identify potential solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills needed to effectively present information for a variety of issues.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and complete all tasks, meeting deadlines and target completion dates. Multi-tasking is a necessity.
- Strong customer service skills; friendly, approachable and motivated with a strong work ethic and high degree of integrity.
- Ability to create, maintain, analyze and publish data primarily utilizing Microsoft Excel.
Salary Range
Compensation: $57,400.00/Year - $82,000.00/Year
