An outstanding candidate is needed to support project and enhancement work in multiple Financial Systems applications with work focusing in the General Ledger, Asset Management, Accounts Payable and Purchasing functions. The candidate will be involved in the end-to-end agile life cycle from requirements gathering through testing, implementation and post-production support. Desired mix is 60% functional/40% technical.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Candidate will possess strong verbal and written communication and relationship management skills
  • Leading customer-facing requirements gathering, functional design, and demo sessions
  • Eager to learn process or systems, and drive to solve problems and perform root cause analysis
  • Comfortable developing innovative approaches and charting a course of action in ambiguous situations
  • Comfortable with standard AP and GL batch job functionality and ability to troubleshoot issues and errors
  • Comfortable meeting with business users (in person and remotely) to document requirements, draft process flows, and present findings to a variety of stakeholders
  • Researches new system functions or capabilities within Financial Systems General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Purchasing, and trains others on key benefits, setup required, and constraints of new functionality
  • Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet deadlines
  • Provides explanations and information to others on topics within area of expertise and acts as a subject matter expert on process/business needs to testers, developers, and peers
  • Act as the liaison between Business and Systems Analysts, Software Developers and project management groups in multiple sites and countries
  • Configures the system based on business and technical requirements, tests, and resolves system issues and defects during full delivery lifecycle
  • Authors and executes system tests to assure that new modifications/functionality meets requirements and anticipated benefits

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of "back office" large financial systems experience (Accounting, Payables, Receivables, General Ledger, Purchasing i.e. PeopleSoft Finance, Workday, Oracle EBS)
  • 3+ years of funct-technical experience with General Ledger, or Accounts Payable functionality
  • 2+ years of experience in leading or helping facilitate User Acceptance Testing
  • 2+ years of experience facilitating requirements gathering or leading solution brainstorming sessions
  • 2+ years of experience managing tasks and deliverables utilizing basic Project Management techniques (including but not limited to creating project plans with milestones, tracking deliverables, providing status, managing issues / risks)

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
