Our Data Migration Team is looking for an experienced Data Conversion Analyst! A critical facet of growing our business by expanding our client base hinges upon the quality and success of our implementations, key to which is the data transfer process from our clients’ current systems to Unanet with a high degree of accuracy.

You will begin by learning from the experience of our current team and familiarize yourself with the backend database behind our product, the legacy and competing products from which we migrate data, and the custom tools and scripts used to accomplish these migrations.

We’re looking for a dynamic, self-starting individual who has experience working with databases and ETL (Extract/Translate/Load) processes and procedures and who shares our passion for serving our clients, helping them get the most out of their data. 

What You’ll Do

• Begin with baseline Microsoft Access conversion tool, and customize the queries on a per project basis, contingent on the dataset, legacy system and custom requirements documented during onboarding and throughout implementation
• Collaborate with other members of our team to improve and evolve our migration efforts
• Test, reconcile, and validate migrated data
• Provide instructions for internal Consultants and our customers to validate data
• Document processes and maintain applicable knowledge-bases
• Architect and validate new conversion tools
• Gain proficiency with basic through advanced functionality of Unanet's product offerings
• Continue to grow in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Your First 90 Days

First 30 Days 

• Work with our team lead to familiarize yourself with our tools and development standards
• Learn about our client base and the types of problems we help them solve
• Shadow other members of our team to learn how we manage workloads, communicate with clients and deliver custom data migrations
• Take on your first data transfer project and work with a senior member of our Data Migration Team to walk through the process of customizing a script set, troubleshooting and validating the data, and delivering the migrated dataset to the client
• Familiarize yourself with our internal style guides, conventions and operating procedures 

First 60 Days

• You will complete our 6-week training course on the basic functions of Unanet's product
• Gain proficiency with installing and configuring our software in a client environment
• Begin to work more autonomously, with data transfers reviewed by a senior member of our team prior to delivery
• Understand the full implementation lifecycle as well as the individual tasks that comprise a data transfer, including pilot pass delivery, data tuning and troubleshooting, recovery of configurations, go-live delivery and post-live scripting and support
• Attain your 20% Realization Target

First 90 Days

• Take full ownership of assigned projects and clients
• Demonstrate confidence in making and committing enhancements to baseline code libraries
• Become an independent resource on an implementation team with less oversight from senior members of our team
• Familiarize yourself with our software and associated data relationships 
• Troubleshoot and develop custom solutions to unique challenges encountered in client datasets 
• Attain your 40% Realization Target

Who You Are

• 3+ years of experience working in Microsoft Access, with proficiency in queries and macros
• Experience working in a client-facing, technical capacity
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with others remotely
• Ability to prioritize and support multiple projects and deliverables in parallel

Your Differentiators

• Prior experience reporting from ERP systems, preferably Unanet
• Prior awareness of QuickBooks, Costpoint, NetSuite
• Strong proficiency in accounting principles
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting or Finance
