Summary:

The Epic Application Development Analyst will primarily be responsible for developing, supporting and maintaining the Epic Ambulatory application. Qualified candidates must be certified in the Epic Ambulatory module. Additional experience with other Epic core applications is preferred.

Analyst will participate in the planning, building and testing needed with Epic system updates. This includes working on break-fixes, special updates, optimizations, software release notes & any other system required enhancement. The analyst will also assist with completing assigned deliverables related to strategic technology initiatives as well as contribute to material for end-user training. Desired candidate should possess strong analytical skills and have experience working with clinical staff and other business end-users.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead medium to large complexity Epic build projects
  • Participate in application on-call rotating coverage as required
  • Coordinate application support with other information technology teams
  • Implement changes using documented standard operating procedures
  • Act as a technology subject matter expert clearly communicating concepts between and across different audiences
  • Ensure tasks are documented, managed, and updated appropriately to reflect accurate project status
  • Research issues and use independent analysis and judgment to produce solutions
  • Participate in and facilitate cross-team meetings and maintain appropriate meeting records
  • Partner and establish rapport with clinical staff to implement Epic enhancements
  • Serve as the application expert for the scope and integration of third party vendors within Epic and impact across other applications
  • Empower team members with skills to improve their product or application knowledge
  • Provide coaching to the team when needed to enhance and reinforce training
  • Provide mentorship to other employees new to the application or to the team
  • Investigate, monitor, and make recommendations for complicated problems or issues
  • Demonstrate expertise in application design and customer workflows



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Systems, Electronics Technology, Computer Engineering, Health Information Management or equivalent work experience
  • Current certification and work experience with Epic Ambulatory module required
  • Two to five years of progressively responsible Epic application work needed
  • Experience with 2 or more major Epic upgrades or implementations highly preferred
  • Excellent written, oral, instructional, presentation, and interpersonal skills focused on motivation and positive attitude
  • Knowledge of Epic software as well as other information systems, clinical software, and computer applications used in a health care setting
  • Understanding of Epic build change management process (CAB)



For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $88,100 - $146,800, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
