ENTERPRISE DATA SENIOR ARCHITECT

 

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Enterprise Data Sr Architect (DA) is a key role responsible for developing the Enterprise Data Ecosystem. The DA is charged with establishing the consistency, timeliness, quality, security and delivery of data by designing and streamlining the data flows and remove unnecessary costs from the complex, fragmented, heterogeneous data architecture that is found in most large enterprises. The DA focuses on data that moves through the enterprise, and must coordinate work with these groups and other stakeholders. The DA will provide overall leadership for driving the project towards the overarching data architecture vision

 

Technology and Innovation Division
As a member of City National's Technology & Innovation group, you will drive, develop, and maintain solutions for clients and colleagues. This is an exciting time of technology advancement and innovation across the bank, particularly within our technology teams.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

 

  • Define the data architecture framework, standards, and principles, including modeling, metadata, security, reference data and master data
  • Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support the data warehouse
  • Ensure a focus on data management capabilities which include data quality, data security, data privacy, data integration and others.
  • Participate in the translation of business requirements and models into feasible and acceptable data warehouse and business intelligence solutions
  • Support alignment of data definitions, policies, governance, and enforcement of enterprise business rules for data
  • Communicating the impacts of data architecture: This must be directed to a range of stakeholders - the development community, IT operations, IT management at all levels, developers and business people.
  • Actively engage with various consumers and seek their input and feedback in creating data architecture solutions that add value
  • Works closely with Enterprise Architect and other Solution Architects to ensure solutions align to vision and strategy

 

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

 

Must-Have*

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

 

  • Minimum five years architecting solutions in the areas of Enterprise Data Management including Master Data Management, Metadata Management, Data Quality, Data Governance, and Data Architecture
  • Working knowledge of data modeling techniques - conceptual, logical, and physical models, including experience with leveraging industry reference models
  • Experience working on Data Architecture supporting large enterprise initiatives
  • Experience with data catalog, data management and governance tools.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to take complex concepts and adapt messaging to various stakeholders
  • Able to take a big-picture, long-term view on evolving data architecture and data practices, while contributing to tactical outcomes

Compensation

Starting base salary: $144,080 - $187,170 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
