Responsibilities:

As a Data Scientist, you will use your critical thinking ability to collaborate with the business and to develop analyses and econometric models based on complex operational, economic and statistical data. The models will be aimed at solving new and complex problems, which will inform the development of innovative programs and strategies across the organization. In this role, you will be challenged to use your analytic skills and industry knowledge to build strong statistical models that have applicability to core business processes and key performance indicators.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serves as thought leader for technical business processes, developing forward-thinking prototypes that promote increased efficiency and productivity on multiple levels.
  • Devises and utilizes algorithms and models to mine big data stores, performs data and error analysis to improve models, and cleans and validates data for uniformity and accuracy.
  • Creates and maintains rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources
  • Communicates analytic solutions to stakeholders and implement improvements as needed to operational systems.
  • Analyzes data for trends and patterns, and interpret data with a clear objective in mind.


Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree statistics, applied mathematics, or related discipline required; Master's Degree preferred in statistics, applied mathematics, or related discipline
  • 3 to 5 years data science experience using mathematics, statistics, modeling, business analysis, and technology to transform high volumes of complex data into advanced analytic solutions.
  • Advanced proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency with pattern recognition and predictive modeling experience.
  • Superior organizational, technical, analytical, and written/oral communication skills.
  • Superior technical writing skills in business requirements, queries, reports, and presentations.
  • Superior technical skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, and programming languages (SAS/Python/R/SQL) with the ability to learn other analytic tools.
  • Prior experience using and managing project leveraging Cloud (Azure, etc.) and familiar with Data-bricks.
  • Strong analytics and understanding of data analysis and statistics, ability to interpret outcomes of machine learning.
