The EDI Business Analyst will be accountable for implementing and facilitating the adoption of electronic business transactions with Georgia-Pacific's Consumer Products Group's customers and solution providers. The role will act as a liaison that drives customer on-boarding and transaction enablement that is mutually beneficial for the CPG organization and its customers. The Analyst will be SME on EDI implementation processes, drive enhancements, and champion the creation and implementation of new ERP capabilities as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong SAP IDOC and EDI technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and an ability to multi-task.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the SAP/S4, the configuration processes, and the business processes to eliminate waste and mitigate risks associated with the implementation and applications of e-business transactions.
  • Collaborate with business process users/owners and IT (EDI, Order-To-Cash, Warehouse) teams on e-business transaction initiatives to establish objectives that enhance and/or optimize business systems and processes.
  • Drive customer on-boarding and manage end-to-end testing with customers across applicable supply-chain Order-to-Cash modules.
  • Develop and distribute change management documentation, inclusive of job aids, for new or enhanced e-business transactions and processes.
  • Help customers either integrate into established electronic processes or drive the creation of new capabilities and/or processes that meet customer requirements and are mutually beneficial to GP.
  • Facilitate the identification, communication, and resolution of capability gaps within the SAP ERP, interfaces, and/or partner platforms.
  • Review, track, and confirm the successful completion of EDI testing for inbound and outbound transactions.



The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as an EDI analyst, Developer, or Coordinator.
  • Experience in interpreting and EDI raw data transactions and EDI (X12 and EDIFACT) standards.
  • Analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead and guide EDI related discussions and translate business requirements.
  • Experience in delivering results in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to analyze and develop customer or supplier implementation requirements across a matrixed organization.


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience in EDI/API application data mapping (General Merchant, Grocery, Financial, or Transportation).
  • Knowledge of GS1 EDI (X12 or EDIFACT) standards and versions.
  • Experience with integrating SAP IDOC data files.
  • Experience with SAP MDG, SAP Information steward or similar software.
  • Experience with Excel that includes pivot, statistical analysis, or advanced formulas and lookups.
  • Experience on an ERP system or rebates (Vistex) tool implementation team.
  • Experience in customer or vendor EDI/API/EAI onboarding.
  • Experience in developing project requirements and test plans.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a comparable experience.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
