Job Description:
This position is for an Enterprise Technology Policy & Governance Lead. The ideal candidate is a senior contributor who will lead work to define, build and implement policy, standards and governance routines across the Enterprise. The primary scope includes Application Management, Technology Product Management and Architecture Governance.
The key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate business drivers and risks and build commensurate policy, standards and governance processes
  • Redesign the current policy, standards, and governance routines to address modern technology use cases and complexities
  • Eliminate process duplication in order to make it easier for technology partners to do their work and improve the user experience
  • Partner across the enterprise control functions to influence and gain buy-in to redesign their controls based on specific use cases
  • Lead change internally and across the enterprise
  • Provide analysis input for presentations targeted to senior executives and regulators
  • Determine metrics that focus on adherence against key risks, and analyze results in order to address areas that need improvement or better communication and education
  • Design, review and assist in maintenance of governance operating routines and reporting
  • Keep up to date with changing regulations


Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent working experience
  • 7-10+ years of experience in governance, process, and project management
  • Capability to evaluate business needs and risks across the enterprise and develop effective strategic solutions in response
  • Advanced communication and influencing skills that can be used across a diverse audience, including senior management, which drive results without unnecessary conflict
  • Drive to continually improve processes while balancing business needs and risks
  • Personal initiative to find opportunities, lead change, improve processes and solve problems with little direction
  • Strong relationship management and organizational skills


Desired Skills

  • Experience with JIRA & SharePoint
  • Background & understanding of technology


General Description
Responsible for capturing and supporting delivery of business and/or system requirements (based on specialization) to deliver significant business outcomes. Works with stakeholders to understand needs, capture requirements, perform impact analysis, and works closely with the development team(s) to refine the requirements into actionable specifications. Possess a deep understanding of the business/technical domain and the main applications within the domain, and provide thought leadership based on the significant experience they have built through multiple software implementations. Influences stakeholder strategy, and understands the needs to help envision and create a solution to solve a problem. Establishes and builds relationships with business and technology leaders across multiple organizations. Leads cost/benefit analysis to align technology solutions to business strategy. Gathers & catalogs functional, non-functional, and technical requirements for stakeholder requests. Acts as the subject matter expert within the business/technical domain to support scope and requirement decisions. Determines the impact of modifications and enhancements to applications across a business/technical domain; assists with identifying integration points and end-to-end solution design. Ensures changes to the application are compliant with bank standards and policies. For vendor applications, works closely with the vendor to ensure changes meet bank requirements, including assisting with acceptance testing where needed. Assists users and development teams in application testing and troubleshooting, and may help with test planning and configuring test solutions to validate functional and system needs. Leads continuous improvement efforts to create, analyze, and improve processes and solutions. Mentors more junior Analysts.
