Job Purpose

Director Business Systems Analysis

This role supports the SVP of iCTO (Infrastructure Chief Technology Officer) with oversight and management of strategic initiatives, in addition to operational and financial efforts that are critical to the success of the organization. This person will operate from the vantage point of executive management, working across iCTO leadership teams and across Fiserv divisions to accomplish strategic objectives. This individual will be required to lead, and partake in, various cross-functional projects including current run-the-business initiatives, new business ventures, client projects, business partnerships and other duties as assigned. The position requires frequent interactions with senior leaders in the organization while still maintaining a connection to the organizational pulse at all levels. This person will lead working groups, councils and other activities as a surrogate for the SVP, iCTO, to drive strategic objectives and to ensure key business and/or Fiserv enterprise initiatives are completed on time and on budget with expected ROI. This is a highly visible role for an individual with outstanding leadership, management, communication, analytical and interpersonal skills. The ideal applicant is expected to partner independently with the senior leadership team to anticipate and solve problems and address issues before they escalate, when possible. The candidate must be an independent self-starter and "jack of all trades" that can manage multiple missions and demonstrate problem-solving leadership with limited oversight.

Managing Strategic Initiatives:

  • Leading the planning and development of business strategy and key initiatives for the organization and translates them into actionable and quantitative plans while maintaining the highest service standards for the Fiserv's clients.
  • Drives transformational efforts across iCTO organization evaluating effectiveness and implementing plans to maximize quality while increasing overall operational efficiency.
  • Program manage high impact strategic initiatives for iCTO organization which are critical for ongoing success (project plans, tasks, timelines, resourcing, interdependencies).
  • Define key performance metrics, dashboards and management reporting cadences that clearly articulate the status of key activities ensuring strategic initiatives are delivered successfully.
  • Lead various cross business and cross functional work items including current run-the-business initiatives, new engagements, and problem resolution efforts within the organization and across Fiserv.


Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

  • 10+ years of related technical and business experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and/or Certifications.
  • Has strong knowledge of IT systems, practices and functional units.
  • Strong knowledge of multiple reporting tools.
  • Provides technical consultation to the business units supported.
  • Has expert knowledge of business operations, policies and practices.
  • Has acted in a leadership capacity within an enterprise level framework, for a comparable institution.
  • Knowledge of- and demonstrated experience in project management processes and methodologies, as well as, project lifecycles
  • Experience in banking, financial services, and/or software industries desired
  • Experience in driving large scale change efforts
  • Experience with matrix management of cross-functional processes and teams
