Lead the Sales Data, Reporting and Analytics department to ensure that the business leverages, tools, and data to target business opportunities for the Americas. This highly visible role will be responsible for improving the availability and value of information using data to enhance performance of the sales organization and drive revenue & profit growth.

  • Partner with IT and other stakeholders to conceptualize, visualize, design and model how enterprise data is used in reporting and within the analytics ecosystem and framework.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture teams to architect data pipeline solutions optimized and curated for reporting and analytics on various types of data with scalability in mind.
  • Define data requirements to solve business problems and develop data solutions, across various and disparate data sources.
  • Use business acumen and technical knowledge to develop and deliver Business Intelligence solutions for internal customers.
  • Lead and advance the design, build, and publication of visually appealing and functional PowerBI reports and dashboards for multiple stakeholders across the company.
  • Work with business users for continuous improvement of existing dashboards, reports, and datasets.
  • Extract, transform, and load data from various databases, formats, and data sources. Use exploratory data analysis techniques to identify meaningful relationships, patterns, or trends from complex data sets.
  • Lead advancement in reporting and analytics projects that drive optimization of business decisions. This includes forecasting, sales force size/structure, and compensation modeling, cross-sell/up-sell program effectiveness, market mix, and others.
  • Own analytics to understand the factors that drive sales office success to improve coverage, hiring and training.
  • Design and champion new methodologies and processes to ensure we are maximizing effectiveness of sales and marketing resources to improve the performance of the Americas sales team.
  • Present key findings to Senior Management. Provide insight on market analytics, pipeline coverage, cross-sell initiatives, and pricing programs. Work with Marketing, Product Management, and Sales to ensure successful rollout of analysis. Network with the necessary teams to ensure analytical content is relevant and applied to the most current business conditions.
  • Promote operational efficiencies and the strategic vision of the department while aligning with company goals and objectives towards revenue generation.
  • Keep informed of new technology and software to move the department and business forward.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Supervise associates involved in department activities, including assigning and reviewing work and evaluating performance. Supervise, delegate, and prioritize workload. Train staff on policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Monitor performance, provide regular feedback, and conduct employee performance reviews. Encourage and facilitate improvements
  • Foster employee engagement and ensure that business and operational goals are effectively communicated to employees. Act as a role model and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Promote a positive working environment that encourages employee involvement to achieve excellence in productivity, customer service, quality, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)
  • Actively participate and initiate process improvements
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors that supports continued growth and development of company mission and values
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the VP Sales Operations & Customer Service

  • MBA Degree preferred
  • BS/BA in Business, Engineering, or related degree
  • At least 7 years of sales analysis, data science, financial modeling, business analytics, business intelligence, or related work experience within a B2B environment.
  • At least 3 years in a business leadership role effectively leading others to achieve functional business goals
  • Knowledge of Data Center products
  • Advanced mathematics and analytical skills. Experience with Sales Force and/or Marketing Optimization models
  • Must have a proven ability to create and modify Excel and Visio based documents
  • Must be willing to reorganize work to accommodate projects with very short deadlines
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Project management/organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with multiple levels
  • Outstanding quantitative skills with a strong foundation in statistics
  • Strong Business acumen and knowledge of marketing and sales theories and practices
  • Passion for data
  • Analytic Problem-Solving skills
  • Effective Communication: Communicating with Stakeholders and product manager
  • Experience with exploratory Big Data discovery (e.g., Hadoop) and presenting information with visualizations (e.g., Microsoft Power BI) preferred

  • Positive impact on sales force effectiveness and productivity, and ultimately on top line sales and margins, through insight generation and implementation of policies, tools, and process improvement
  • Development and roll-out of sales forecasting and reporting tool (Hadoop and Power BI)
  • Enhanced ability to generate insights for the business
