The Director of Information & Insight provides key leadership and support navigating a wide range of matters involved in the development and execution of analytics. Information & Insight team partners with stakeholders across the organization to guide decision-making with data. The team sources and explores rich datasets to identify key trends, propose areas for improvement, and recommend business decisions based on a nuanced understanding of what the data are (and are not) saying. It is important that this role be able to translate the technical into business-friendly concepts. The Role

What you will be doing:

• Lead a high performing data analytics team supporting Sales, Operations, and Business domains
• Develop and execute against strategic and tactical roadmaps/initiatives aimed at optimizing business outcomes using data (e.g., capacity modeling, pricing optimization, driving segment economics)
• Ensure team members have clarity of purpose, the tools required to meet their responsibilities, and an environment conducive to diversity of thoughts, innovation, and personal/career growth
• Approach tasks with an entrepreneurial mindset looking for new opportunities
• Support data integrity of systems and applications
• Perform R&D/due diligence on new product

The Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in computer science, finance, or analytics a plus
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with analytics and reporting systems
• Insurance industry knowledge a plus
• Experience with advanced business analytics platforms and languages including but not limited to; PowerBi, Tableau, Minitab, SPSS, Looker, SQL, MDX, R, Python, Spark, Azure, Synapse, Alteryx
• Strong oral and written communication skills, required; ability to communicate directly with executive level audiences
• Proficient to expert level understanding of Microsoft Office applications
• Strong understanding of the data and analytics discipline with the ability to distill complex raw data sets into easy to follow narratives
• Team player with collaborative interdisciplinary nature
