Job Description:
The Director of Enterprise Data Management & Governance will lead and coordinate data and analytics governance activities, and will play a meaningful role in creating a culture that promotes data as an organizational asset. Reporting into the VP of Data, the Director will provide strategy and domain expertise in the core facets of Data Management, and will be an invaluable partner to other key functions, such as our Enterprise Applications team, Marketing & Sales Operations, as well as other Data owners across Pluralsight.

What you'll own:

  • Establish and lead a Data Management Strategy for our Enterprise data, inclusive of the initiation of a corresponding operational model that enables execution of the strategy
  • Develop and coordinate data management programs that span data quality initiatives, metadata management, master data management, as well as the creation of non-invasive data governance processes
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality and integrity standards, driving adoption across our teams and systems
  • Develop and maintain enterprise data documentation, including artifacts that denote sources of truth and their corresponding owners
  • Measure and monitor the quality of Pluralsight's data assets, communicating metrics to our colleagues in a consistent and meaningful way, building trust and reliability in the integrity of our data


Experience you'll need:

  • Must be comfortable working in highly collaborative environments; demonstrable ability to influence other leaders and partners
  • Requires a minimum of 10 years of related or equivalent experience; or 6+ years and an advanced degree
  • Proven expertise in Data Management & Governance practices with the ability to tie new structures and procedures to business value
  • Deep experience with Master Data Management, Data Quality initiatives, Data Integration, ELT/ETL processes and tools, Data Modeling, and Analytics & Data Science
  • Ideally, you have led Data Management programs in the context of larger business and digital transformations
