The Red Hat Engineering team is looking for a Director for the Data Development, Insights, and Strategy team to join us. In this role, you will join a team that will focus on using the combination of Red Hat product, business, and sales data to provide strategic insight to identify opportunities to maximize our understanding and delivery of product and business models, which in turn maximize our ability to successfully capture our market opportunity. This is an opportunity to join a team that is technically, business, and strategy focused to scale and further grow Red Hat in its hybrid cloud vision and delivery. You will have an opportunity to directly influence Red Hat's strategic direction and business delivery by working with data to extract complex and extraordinary ideas that relate to our core strategy. We are actively seeking an entrepreneurial individual with a background in technology, data, and business performance analysis and a passion for translating data into actionable insight and critical strategy for Red Hat.
What you will do

• Help define a data driven strategy for Red Hat
• Design multi-phased implementation roadmaps
• Work with stakeholders throughout Red Hat to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
• Design and develop big data solutions in validating critical strategies and hypothesis
• Mine and analyze data from company databases to increase optimization and improvement of product development, marketing/sales techniques and business strategies.
• Gather, select, and transform heterogeneous data to explore and discover new insights
• Work with cross functional teams in leading the data analysis and influencing direction of various functional initiatives
• Architecture, design, and development of business intelligence solutions
• Mentor others
• Assist business development teams with presales activities and RFPs
• Help estimate and plan projects

• Capability in undertaking business needs analysis in direct consultation
• Be a self-starter, displaying initiative in seeing needs, building functionality and leading insights for organizational change
• Ability to develop a detailed understanding of our business requirements
• Excellent spoken and written English language skills
