Director of Data Science

The Mission of the Data Science Director is to lead and develop teams of data scientists supporting Dataiku’s customer and account teams across their region. They will do so by example, being both skilled in supporting customer adoption of data science products and technically proficient themselves. They will also be actively coaching and mentoring their teams, striking the balance of helping the team deliver successfully and doing the work themselves as appropriate.
In this role you will:
- Drive successful adoption and growth of existing accounts across their assigned region and helping with new sales opportunities as appropriate
- Hire, grow and develop Data Science teams, both managers and individual contributors, with a strong focus on developing and promoting team members whenever possible
- Develop new and improve existing professional services processes in support of more effective and efficient account engagements
- Strengthen regional cross-functional alignment with other go to market functions
You might be a good fit if you have:
- 8+ years building and managing large data science teams
- 8+ years of experience with modern data science tools and platforms
- Proven track record of developing and promoting data scientists and managers
Bonus points for any of these:
- Managing a team of data scientists at a software vendor or professional services firm
- Experience with MLOps
- Experience implementing Data Science platforms and tools
