Who we are looking for

Promenade, formerly known only as BloomNation, is a rapidly growing SaaS startup the helps SMBs with their software needs, we are looking for a Director of Data and Analytics to join our engineering team. Reporting directly to the CTO you will work to build out a data and analytics strategy across all of our brands; BloomNation for floral, Dig-In for restaurants, Swigg for liquor and wine shops, Bevv for craft breweries . This role will span the entire lifecycle of data analytics, from data engineering to business insights and reporting. As our team grows you will help to architect the future of technology for our company as part of the engineering leadership team. This is a brand new role and department where you can mold it from the start!

Specifically, you will…

-Work with engineering, product, cs and business leadership to define what data sets are important and how we will analyze and report on relevant findings.

-Lead and define the vision and strategy of the data analytics team.

-Build a new data storage solution across all our brands.

-Design and implement analytics solutions that promote consistency for cross-functional teams; used for pulling strategic KPI metrics across all brands.

-Promote data literacy and adoption across the organization.

-Advocate for consistent data across the business and build a strong culture of data in a rapid growth environment.

You will excel if you have...

-5+ years of experience as a Data Lead

-Expert experience with SQL and ETL

-Expert experience with data warehouse vs data lake architectures.

-Experience with AWS Data Analytics tools such as; Redshift, Data Pipeline, Kinesis

-Experience with business analytics reporting software such as; RJMetrics, Google Data Studio, Tableau, Looker, AWS QuickSight

-Experience with search platforms such as ElasticSearch

-Succinct communicator with the ability to fully explain technical problems and their solutions

-You take initiative and fix things that are broken when they see them

-Exceptional cross-functional leadership; experienced partnering with other leaders to understand and address their needs

-Experience analyzing and reporting on eCommerce data sets

-Strong opinions on how, what, and where data should be collected.

-Start-up experience; SaaS experience preferred

-A degree in Computer Science or related field
