You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data infrastructure and analytics strategy
  • Partner with Optum Financial Technology Data and Analytics team to leverage existing capabilities
  • Build and develop a team of data engineers and analysts
  • Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data governance policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement data-driven solutions to business problems
  • Analyze and interpret data to support business decisions and provide actionable insights
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to data infrastructure and analytics

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in data infrastructure and analytics, including management experience
  • Solid technical skills, including experience with data warehousing, ETL, and big data technologies
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Looker


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Payments industry experience
  • Experience with Oracle data solutions including Oracle Cloud
  • Management of teams of at least 5 people
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and management abilities
  • Solid understanding of data governance and data privacy regulations

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
