Truist Securities, the Corporate & Investment Banking ("CIB") division of Truist, is currently seeking a Business Enablement Lead for Business Intelligence and Insights. This Director level position reports to the Head of Business Enablement and Transformation for Truist Securities, and plays a critical role leading the advancement of data utility, data analytics and insights generation to enable CIB's strategy.

The Business Enablement Lead for Business Intelligence and Insights is responsible for partnering with senior leaders, subject matter experts and teammate users within Truist Securities, as well as technology and data partners across Truist, to help establish a comprehensive data strategy, program and roadmap to support CIB's overall business needs. This role is additionally responsible for driving the integrity, optimization and delivery of business and competitive intelligence, as well as analytical frameworks and tools to enhance CIB's strategic planning, decision making and competitive advantage.

Areas of focus include:
  • Ongoing assessment and thought leadership around data analytics trends and use case opportunities specific to CIB's business and competitive landscape
  • Development of strategic roadmaps to advance CIB's data and analytics capabilities to drive competitive advantage
  • Enhancement of CIB's business reporting via best practices in automation, visualization and targeted insights
  • Development and ongoing management of profitability models, project/investment ROI frameworks and other strategic end-user computing tools
  • Stewardship of third party data investment and resource utility on behalf of CIB
  • Development of use cases and requirements to inform and influence enterprise and other technology and data projects / priorities with respect to CIB's needs
  • Execution of benchmarking and competitive / market intelligence for CIB
  • Execution of bespoke analyses that help inform strategic planning
  • Management and maintenance of KPIs and other core business information
  • Establishment of sound processes for the creation of data, acquisition of data, stewardship of data, deployment and analysis of data, in partnership with Technology and business teams

Execution of this role will require an understanding of data modeling, statistical modeling, machine learning, data lineage and governance, and analytical program languages, as well as effective change and risk management. Success also requires the ability to proactively build strong working relationships at multiple levels, effectively engaging with senior leaders, front line teams and a wide variety of technical, risk and other functional partners across Truist to collaboratively design, develop and deliver transformation that aligns with business priorities.

The Business Enablement Lead for Business Intelligence and Insights will be required to manage and lead through unstructured situations. They should possess an ability to decipher critical vs. non-critical needs, provide clarity and appropriate prioritization for teams, creatively problem solve and drive effective execution paths in the face of ambiguity. For all facets of the role, they must apply a solid risk management lens in their decision making, advice and recommendations, and maintain strict confidentiality.

This role is additionally responsible for helping recruit, direct, coach and develop junior team members.

Minimum Requirements: •
  • BA/BS degree
  • 12 years of related work experience
  • General understanding of Corporate and Investment Banking industry, products, client segments and business execution
  • Experience in statistical methods, modeling and technical documentation
  • Ability to perform complex data analysis on large volumes of structured and unstructured data
  • Strong data profiling, mining, and cleaning skills and experience
  • Experience using statistical computing languages such as Python, R, Java, SQL, etc.
  • Strong familiarity with database platforms, analytical tools and big data technologies
  • Advanced critical thinking, analytical and organizational skills, with ability to problem solve and drive desired outcomes in unstructured / ambiguous situations
  • Excellent interpersonal style, good listening skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely
  • Strong partnering, leadership and influencing skills in a complex, matrixed environment

Preferred Requirements:
  • MBA from a leading MBA program preferred
  • Experience in corporate and investment banking or capital markets
  • Prior management experience
