Job Summary:

The digital business analyst is responsible for capturing, measuring and informing various digital product initiatives and outputs for the Home Protection division which includes Direct Energy Protection Plans and AWHR. This position is accountable for representing the voice of the business in the delivery of digital enhancements for the division.

They will help in capturing digital user stories, outlining assumptions and defining acceptance criteria from various stakeholders. This role will also oversee and participate in user acceptance testing and lead the team in demonstrating new digital functionality and feature sets. This position will be a pivotal participant and contributor to the digital tooling team. The position requires a combination of analytical, technical writing, creative and presentation skills with an acute acumen to fine details.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conduct user story gathering sessions with stakeholders for digital initiatives and continuous digital improvements.
  • Groom digital backlog items with relevant information, acceptance criteria and KPI measure information prior to sprint planning sessions.
  • Work with product owners and business stakeholders to prioritize digital backlog items
  • Work closely with development teams, internal marketing teams and agencies to coordinate digital content and assets required for delivery.
  • Attend all scrum meetings and agile ceremonies for the digital tools team.
  • Perform acceptance testing during each sprint and raise any defects found
  • Manage the digital journey map catalog and serve as a subject matter expert for digital journeys.
  • Present and demo new digital functionality during sprint demos with stakeholders.
  • Work closely with agencies and technical teams to identify gaps and research new technologies.



Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid, 1-2-day open office environment (Houston) and 3-4-day remote environment.
  • Majority of work performed by utilizing a computer in a seated position.
  • Some overtime required as special projects arise.
  • Minimal Travel



Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Two or more years of experience in a Business Analyst or Technical Writing based role
  • Proficient in design software; e-mail; Microsoft Office, content management platforms



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Service industry or digital experience preferred
  • Experience working with work item management tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira is a plus.



Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Previous experience working with marketing, cross functional and digital delivery teams.
  • Familiarity with agile methodology and Scrum.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles.
  • Excellent communication skills
