The individual in this role is responsible for the implementation and execution of CCAR/CECL models developed by modeling team. Strong technical skills are key to fulfilling the broad range of development, optimization, testing/validation, automation, data management, and data quality activities required for best in class implementation, automation, and execution.

The Model/Anlys/Valid Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits

Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:

  • Optimize, test, and validate professional grade code for the implementation and execution of CECL/CCAR models utilizing SAS/SQL in a Linux environment.
  • Develop Linux scripts to automate execution within operating environment.
  • Utilize scheduling tool and monitor schedule execution.
  • Develop and implement robust automated controls to ensure clean execution.
  • Extract, manage, and validate data for both model development and production execution.
  • Provide analysis and detailed results of project deliverables.
  • Simplify processes to reduce risk.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to Modeling Team.
  • Identify issues, document root cause and propose solutions.
  • Development and maintenance of system documentation to include process flow designs, charts, decks, etc.

    Qualifications:
  • 4+ years' experience.
  • Strong SAS, SQL, Linux skills.
  • Understanding of scheduling tools, version control software. NDM a plus.
  • Strong data analysis and validation skills.
  • Excellent ability to develop partnerships across multiple business and IT teams.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytic skills.
  • Develops strong working relationships that foster cooperation and respect.

    Education:
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent experience.
