The Data/Reporting Analyst will be part of team with the strategic development of Business Intelligence Solutions. In this role you will be responsible for gathering requirements, analyzing, and reporting healthcare data that have an impact on customer experience, business operations, and strategic enhancement of complex specialized products.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analytic support and ad hoc reporting of clinical outcomes and operational data for healthcare programs
  • Analyze data to understand source system data availability and fit for purpose
  • Develops and documents complex business, analysis, and reporting requirements
  • Evaluates and prioritizes data changes and enhancements
  • Interprets data, facts and/or trends independently and makes business recommendations to management
  • Design of Product/Operations dashboards and reports
  • Perform qualitative analysis ensuring the accuracy of Product/Ops/Client reported information
  • Maintain business glossary and/or master data to assist content owners and subject matter experts
  • Works closely with development team to translate business need into technical requirements
  • Analyzes benchmarking data, reports, processes, and measurements
  • Coordinates a variety of projects/requests simultaneously and ensures timely completion in accordance with business initiatives
  • Train and communicate use of reporting and dashboards
  • Research complex functional issues using a variety of resources

Required Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma/GED and 5+ years of work experience OR Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of business analysis or data analysis experience
  • 1+ years of experience in reporting, analytics, and product mapping
  • Solid data visualizations skills in tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Experience using data analysis tools such as SQL, SAS, Advanced MS Office suite (Access, Power Query) or equivalent
  • Healthcare industry experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified Data Analyst
  • Intermediate knowledge of SQL
  • Project Management Experience
  • Excellent communication, time/project management, problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $71,400 to $127,400. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
