The Data Science team lies at the foundation of Zoom’s success - you'll be working cross-functionally with teams of engineers, scientists, marketers, and product professionals on some of the most critical projects in the company - whether it's exploratory research to predict user behavior, or running experiments to optimize untapped areas of growth, or developing machine learning models that deliver “happiness” to our users more consistently and at scale. Responsibilities:

Compliance

  • Assist with regularly scheduled gap assessments, internal audits, and external audits

  • Drive teams toward implementing controls and processes that address identified gaps

  • Follow up with issues related to compliance gaps and work to resolve them

  • Design and build systems to maintain audit evidence required by SOC 2, PCI, GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, SOX, and others as we enhance our compliance portfolio

  • Maintain and update documentation including network diagrams and security architecture plans and change control processes

  • Ensure compliance across our Production, Development and Corporate systems hosted in the public clouds

Cloud Infrastructure Security

  • Reduce cloud and infrastructure vulnerabilities across all cloud assets

  • Participate in secure architecture reviews covering legacy and new technologies

  • Perform regular risk assessments across cloud systems using industry standard frameworks

  • Ensure that data strategies and architectures are in regulatory compliance

  • Create strategies and plans for data security, backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and archiving

 

Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

  • Participate in development of a Secure Software Development Lifecycle

  • Manage and enhance security tools and build automation in the testing processes

  • Enhance and support security awareness training for our AWS, and Snowflake usage

  • Implement and manage IAM best practices for cloud directories and identity providers across the several cloud environments.

Desired Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, OR equivalent practical experience

  • Minimum (3) yrs experience in software engineering and dev/data ops within a cloud based environment. (AWS & Saas experience highly preferred)

  • AWS or Snowflake Certifications

  • Experience with Terraform or Cloudformation

  • Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies and methods

  • Experience with tools such as Airflow, GIT, Jenkins

  • Experience building services & products as code

  • Strong technical proficiency in large scale systems, Linux/server operating systems, databases, cloud computing, big data, Hadoop & networking.

  • Experience with designing secure networks, systems, and application architecture basic encryption theory and key management (PKI) and Compliance Automation.
