Data/Business Intelligence Architect
POSITION SUMMARY
The Data/BI Architect will be responsible for architecting, developing, and transforming our existing Business Intelligence strategy and platform, from data quality, data structures, data pipelines, reports and dashboards, as well as ensure the delivery of quality solutions. The Data/BI Architect will also be responsible to help derive BillGO’s strategy for entity relationships, knowledge graphs and building out data products. This role requires solid experience with AWS warehouse technology stacks and Business Intelligence toolsets, big data technologies and data development lifecycles.
What you will be doing:
- Support the collection and transformation of business requirements into state-of-art business intelligence solutions.
- Participate in requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders to analyze, document and establish projects goals and objectives.
- Structure large data sets to find usable information; help apply data management best practices for governed and quality data.
- Execute data mining, analysis, and insights on large data sets to help find actionable intelligence.
- Perform hands-on design, development, configuration and testing of BI solutions and dashboards for new and existing business metrics.
- Perform entity relationship exercises on various data sets to align and provide actionable insights.
- Derive rules, logic and models to automate data transformation opportunities.
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports and dashboards.
- Help derive a strategy around knowledge graphs and data products
- Hands on prototyping and development of solutions using AWS cloud technologies.
- Deliver solutions including Data Products of which the data is consistent, available, and accurate and fit for reporting and analytics.
- Ensure the quality of our BI products and deliverables.
- Maintain accurate and complete technical architectural documents.
- Recommend strategies to improve our BI Tool Stack and strategy for transforming internal and external reporting.
- Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Work with executives and other business leaders to identify data opportunities for improvement & transformation.
What we’re looking for:
- 10+ years experience as a Data Architect or BI Architect
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field
- Master’s degree in computer science or related field, preferred
- AWS Cloud (Athena, Glue, S3, Kinesis, Lambda, Spark, Python) 3 years (required)
- BI visualization tools (AWS Quicksite, but experience in other BI tools): 3 years (required)
- Experience in Git, Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
- Passionate about helping millions of people with their financial lives
- Detail-oriented, with effective analytical skills to manage the large volumes of data to help produce management, operations and financial insights.
- Technical expertise regarding data models, data mining, statistical analysis and segmentation techniques.
- Strong experience in SQL database and ETL development working within a data warehouse environment and analytics solutions.
- Experience modernizing a data warehouse environment.
- Experience in analyzing BI tools as part of a BI Reporting Strategy; experience in analysis, procurement, and implementation of a BI solution from ground up.
- Data ops environment. Comfortable working under different roles and multiple projects.
- Ability to autonomously drive and prioritize multiple initiatives alongside the Engineering team.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening and presentation skills
- Ability to communicate data insights and recommendations to BillGO Leadership.

- Strong experience with data analysis, querying and interpretation using AWS Athena.
What will make you stand out:
- Financial domain knowledge is preferred but not required.
- Experience with Snowflake, Power BI or other BI tools a plus as we aim to transform our BI Tool Stack.

The salary range for this position is $131,300 - $186,400 plus incentives
