Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Database Manager Specialist in our Sacramento, CA location. The position is flexible with applicants working from a remote location.

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Works under minimal supervision.
  • Has wide responsibility on complex data-oriented projects and components.
  • Provides direction for data management projects and technology
  • Solves medium to highly technical, complex problems on multiple projects, and provides consultative support to internal staff.
  • Assists with the transfer of knowledge of technical skills.
  • Acts as a mentor to lessor data management staff.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BA plus 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • US Citizenship is required for this role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five (5) years data management experience with technical data involving engineering, environmental, analytical chemistry, or equivalent disciplines.
  • Experience with MS Excel, specifically ability to develop pivot tables and use other advanced features.
  • Experience with State, County, DoD, and/or Federal government environmental reporting requirements and systems.
  • Experience with database systems and applications like SQL Server and Oracle, with the ability to read, write and understand SQL and procedural SQL statements and content.
  • Experience with MS Access, specifically ability to develop and maintain tables, data entry forms, reports, and develop SQL procedural code and queries.
  • Experience with environmental, electronic data deliverables formats (e.g. EQuIS, NEDD, GeoTracker, etc.) and related data loading tools.
  • Under AECOM supervision, ability to work with a wide-range of clients and have interaction with client's personnel.
  • Ability to work with various staff in a wide-range of disciplines.
  • Good oral and written communication skills with external and internal clients, and excellent problem solving abilities

Additional Information:

  • Offered rate of compensationwill be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range of this position is: $61,000 - $107,000K.
