FIS Management Services, LLC seeks Database Administrator Senior in Durham, NC, to provide database support services to application teams and Technology Services Group (TSG) operations teams including the Network Operations Center. Use multiple database management systems on one or more operating systems. Perform database software installation, upgrade/patching, infrastructure management and creation and support of application databases. Provide status reports (written and/or verbal) that are detailed to tasks and difficulties encountered which enables managers to initiate escalation if necessary and assess areas where changes or additional support may be warranted. Participate in logical design process of strategic projects and responsible for the physical design/implementation. Ensures issues resulting in customer outage is escalated appropriately through TSG management. Provide specific direction on infrastructure design to support applications. Participate as a member of development support team on projects. Create physical database objectives following established standards and processes employed by database team. Implement backup/recovery procedures to protect integrity of data in database environment. Manage backups along with other database administrators to ensure processes are successful and we can recover as a result.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in any field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation: utilizing SQL Server, SQL Compare, SQL LiteSpeed, T-SQL, Oracle, Linux, ETL, DTS, UDF, SSIS, SSMS, SSRS, Perl, PowerShell scripting, Profiler, PerfMon, Redgate, Idera Visual Studio, TFS, Guardium, and SCOM; supporting software development in Retail Banking, Online Banking and Mobile Banking, Teller, ATM, and Kiosk Banking domains; supporting application processing flow for financial transaction flow of personal and business accounts; and designing and developing in MSSQL and Oracle RDMS platforms. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master's degree and three (3) years of experience in the above listed skills. Telecommuting and/or working from home is permissible.
