Our Shared Services team is dedicated to our customers in ensuring they are successful and happy in the Accruent products they purchase. You will be a part of a growing and developing team of Professional Services Engineers who deliver critical technical tasks to make our customers successful. Further, you will help develop internal processes to scale our delivery. The Database Administrator I will be responsible for maintaining systems as defined and ensuring their ongoing availability. The database administrator I will understand key aspects of the RDBMS systems to support existing Service Level Agreements.  The scope of responsibility at this level is to understand and maintain a single database product at Accruent.

This position reports directly to the Director, Cloud Operations and will be a remote/work from home opportunity.

• Understands the infrastructure environment and can independently support an application’s database platform
• Has a proven capacity for execution and delivery of tasks
• Disseminates technical and functional expertise to peers
• Solid competency in backup and recovery options
• Participates in recruiting efforts
• Performs database design tasks
• Proactively seeks training opportunities for themselves
• Can update and enhance the team’s documentation
• Understands concepts related to database performance and tuning
• Consistently demonstrates Accruent’s values: results orientation, humility, winning attitude, drive to excellence, integrity, and grit
• 2-5 years of experience is typical

What you bring to the table: 

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with Oracle Server in at least one of the following:
• technical database administration
• code development, tuning, and design
• report development and concepts
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven self-reliant, self-starter, and capable of assisting with education of others
• Ability to reason logically and participate in the development of innovative solutions
• Project and task oriented with a focus on details
• Able to work well within group or individually on projects
