In Spotify for Artists, we're building the most valuable platform for artists and fans to connect with one another on Spotify. Our work empowers artists to build careers by selling goods and experiences directly to their fans on Spotify. Our areas of expertise include e-commerce, concert ticket sales, and pre-sales, as well as the exploration of digital goods and experiences.

You will join our innovative and collaborative engineering team as we work to iterate quickly in this outstanding opportunity space, crafting solutions that address both artists and fan needs!

What you'll do

• Build large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines with data processing frameworks like Scio, Storm, Spark and the Google Cloud Platform.
• Architect, develop and operate Java services.
• Demonstrate standard methodologies in continuous integration and delivery.
• Help drive optimization, testing, and tooling to improve data quality.
• Collaborate with engineers, specialists, and partners, taking learning and leadership opportunities that will arise every single day.
• Work in multi-functional agile teams to continuously experiment, iterate and deliver on new product objectives.

Who you are

• Knowledgeable with high volume heterogeneous data, preferably with distributed systems such as Hadoop, BigTable, and Cassandra.
• Know how to write distributed, high-volume services in Java, Python or Scala.
• Knowledgeable about data modeling, data access, and data storage techniques.
• Care about agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and responsible experimentation.
• Care about quality and know what it means to ship high quality code.
• Have at least 3+ years of professional experience working in a product-driven environment.
• You value team success over personal success.
