This team helps to simplify an extremely complicated world of product data into smart, industry-forward, and relevant data to power our company’s products and solutions.
About the Role:
As an expert in consumer packaged goods (CPG) and trends, the Data Transformation Analyst will help deliver cutting-edge health, wellness, and consumer transparency programs. This role will directly increase the insights that our customers rely on to solve their business challenges while gathering and recommending requirements for company initiatives, create associated insights by developing and maintaining a data structure in alignment with industry standards and regulations, and ensure the quality of the data by following our procedures. The Data Transformation Analyst is passionate about helping consumers make better choices, enabling transparency, and researching and understanding regulations and trends in the CPG industry.
You will leverage your industry knowledge to work with our customers like Walmart, the FDA, and Google to assist in the formation of product attribution programs, which ultimately helps consumers make more informed choices when shopping in-store or online. This role requires a deep intellectual curiosity, customer facing skills, an understanding of CPG formulation and marketing, and the ability to take complex data and transition it into something approachable. Above all, this role requires you to be a creative problem solver, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have a passion for technology, innovation, and data-driven decisions
Responsibilities:
Manage the processing of on-package marketing claim data
Fuel global expansion efforts with knowledge of regional requirements
Help lead the execution of industry research in order to gain an understanding of the business and market in order to translate this into customer-facing insights that will support the ideation and implementation of marketplace research
Interpret, analyze, and clearly communicate our data and taxonomy structure
Apply industry and product expertise to develop a data strategy and maturity evaluation
Audit, improve and develop internal database taxonomies (e.g. marketing claims, ingredients, certifications and logos, nutrients)
Expand our database to align with growing market trends
Learn simple coding language
Work alongside our customer success team to react to and resolve customer inquiries
Identify the customer’s business and data challenges and recommend applicable strategies and solutions
Gather program requirements and deliver highest-quality data which meets the needs and expectations of our customers
Skills & Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
3+ years experience preferred in insight analytics, database management, retail data, health & wellness, public health, CPG industry, and/or US or international regulatory affairs
Strong and polished presentation skills
Self-motivated and not afraid to take risks; thrives in a small, fast-paced work environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a desire to understand and interpret simple coding language and database infrastructure
Proficiency with microsoft office tools
Registered dietitian credentials are sought after, but not required
