Convoy’s industry-leading Risk Management and Carrier Performance team invests in safety and quality of the carrier network. We view Risk Management and Carrier Performance as a lever to decrease Convoy’s risk and provide incredible customer service to our shipper and carrier base. You will:

• Dive deep and deliver new findings or uncover insights, improving our understanding of the business and processes through the results of your analyses
• Identifying gaps and opportunities utilizing network performance, compliance, and risk data to influence program and product strategy.
• Measure the impact of program changes using experimental and quasi-experimental methods (A/B testing, causal inference, statistical modeling)
• Develop metrics to measure network performance and business impact
• Provide program decisions support through offline model development and exploratory data analysis
• Maintain, monitor, and debug production models/decisions systems
• Document and share technical documentation and learnings
• Architect, build, and launch efficient & reliable new data models and pipelines in partnership with Data Engineering
• Create and administer audits of our internal processes
• Provide support and guidance to internal teams as subject matter experts in owned programs
• Respond to real-time customer issues as they arise

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Advanced ability to write SQL queries
• Minimum of 4+ years of industry experience at top-tier companies in Consulting, Business Intelligence, Data Scientist, or Analytics roles
• Proficient in a scientific/statistical languages such as R or Python
• Strong working knowledge of one or more advanced statistical modeling techniques and ability to correctly apply them to your work output to solve complex problems.
• Demonstrated ability to identify problems, formulate strategies and tactics to solve problems, and execute on those strategies driving positive business results
• Ability to turn complex problems into simple solutions
• Proven ability to succeed in both collaborative and independent work environments
• Track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to self-direct, multitask, and prioritize a constantly evolving workload.
• Demonstrated ability to influence your team’s short and long-term strategy using data to summarize bandwidth requirements
