Data Scientist

Climate LLC, f/k/a The Climate Corporation, seeks a Data Scientist to work in St. Louis, MO, to create predictive agronomic models by leveraging genetic, environmental and farm management data, in order to recommend the optimal management operations for growers. Will also: (i) explore, munge, and model large and diverse datasets; (ii) design and prototype models using diverse techniques that include, but are not limited to, AI, deep learning, machine learning, data mining, and statistical modeling; (iii) utilize analytical and data science techniques to evaluate and solve complex business problems; (iv) implement and test algorithms and techniques relevant to achieving project objectives; (v) collaborate with other Data Scientists and engineers in developing models to diagnose and/or predict patterns of crop performance; (vi) select the most appropriate modeling techniques and data visualization for large datasets; and (vii) assist with the design of field trial protocols, statistical analysis of field trial data, and code reviews.

Must have a master's degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Customer Analytics, or a related field plus two (2) years of experience in a related position.

Must also have two (2) years of experience: (i) developing data collection and processing pipelines using SQL, Python and PySpark; (ii) evaluating data quality, discovering data limitations and solving data quality issues; (iii) conducting exploratory data analysis and modeling using Python and R for scientific research; (iv) applying machine learning, statistical & mathematical algorithms to analyze large datasets; (v) programming and developing statistical & deep learning models in Python, using tools such as keras and tensorflow; (v) researching and developing machine learning model architecture and optimization algorithms; and (vi) communicating analytical insights & technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience can be concurrent.
