Role Summary
We are looking for a Data Science Engineer to analyze various types of data and parse through large amounts of raw information to find patterns that will help identify ways to optimize and improve the group's performance. We will rely on this person to build data products to extract valuable business insights. In this role, you should be highly analytical with a knack for analysis, math, and statistics. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for interpreting data. We also want to see a passion for research. Your goal will be to help our company analyze trends to make better decisions.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes• Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data• Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns• Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms• Combine models through ensemble modeling• Present information using data visualization techniques• Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges• Collaborate with engineering and product development teams
Key Qualifications/Requirements
• Master's in computer science (PhD- would be an asset), Engineering, or relevant field; Graduate degree in Data Science (Math statistics) or another quantitative field is preferred• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform is preferred• Knowledge of R, SQL, and Python; familiarity with Scala, Java or C++ is an asset• Experience using different business intelligence tools, e.g., meta base, Power Bi; • Analytical mind and business acumen• Strong math skills (e.g., statistics, algebra)• Problem-solving aptitude• Excellent communication and presentation skills• Proficient in Microsoft (Access, Excel)• 5+ years Proven experience as a Data Scientist • Prior experience data mining, Energy and Mobility startups is an asset

• Strong in fundamental engineering and analytical methods• Technical ability and creativity to initiate, direct and control specific projects• Understanding and comfortable with the entire scope of project initiation and execution including technical and business aspects• Aware of global trends related to the mobility and last mile mobility • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present at all levels in the organization.• Understanding of machine-learning and operations research
