Be a part of Boeing Global Services' Training Solutions team that provides industry leadership in commercial and defense aviation training and capabilities, including software development, engineering and technical services, and a range of services to support training centers and pilot provisioning worldwide.
You will be part of the Product Management and Technology Solutions organization and join the leadership team of the Learning Infrastructure & Analytics (LI&A) product portfolio. The mission of LI&A is to deliver the data strategy to enable a digital thread between training products and establish an integrated learning ecosystem. Your efforts will ultimately deliver the data infrastructure to improve the digital solutions from Training Solutions which positively affect safety and operations of our airline customers around the globe.
As the Data Privacy Steward you will join the Data Management team to stand up data governance and management best practices across broader training organization. Specifically, you will serve as the lead and subject matter experts for all things related to data privacy and management. In this critical position you will have the opportunity to interact with key customer personas, managers, executives, peers, supporting team personnel, and subject matter experts across the Training Solutions organization
This is a hybrid position that allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. Travel to Seattle, WA will be required for several planning increment meetings throughout the year.
Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that all learning ecosystem products and systems comply with regulations around collection, retention, use, archival, and disposal of data.
  • Responsible for the management and proficiency of data stored in the learning ecosystem, including determining how relevant data is collected, maintained, and interpreted.
  • Serve as central point of contact for complex and growing data volumes.
  • Develops and implements plans for data life-cycle.
  • Works with Boeing's Global Policy Office, customers, and regulatory agencies to develop or shape privacy policies and procedures for the learning domain.
  • Understands customer contracts, and union/regulatory restrictions on use of airline operational data in the context of sharing and aggregation within learning products.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related field of study.
  • Must have solid knowledge of data architectures, data governance, metadata, data quality and correction processes, algorithms, and more data-specific topics.
  • Demonstrated ability and track record of influencing across organizational boundaries.
  • 3-5 years' experience leading development and external deployment activities for digital products and offerings.
  • 3-5 years of experience leading and standing up data management and governance bodies, processes and procedures.
  • 3-5 years of experience working on data collection and data analytics products.
  • 3-5 years of experience leading a multi-functional, geographically dispersed team.
  • 3-5 years of experience working with customers to identify functional and systems requirements.


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Deep understanding of domestic and international data privacy laws, particularly those related to airline operations and regulations
  • 3 years of experience working in a software development environment
  • 3 years of experience using Agile, SAFe and/or LEAN methodologies
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO)


Typical Education/ Experience:
Bachelor's degree and typically 10 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Relocation:
This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
