CFO Data Management (CFO DM) is looking for an experienced and driven leader to join the Loans Team. CFO DM acts as a bridge between upstream data teams, Technology, and CFO Group business functions to expand and improve reporting, forecasting, and analytics.
This is a team lead role that, along with the team that they oversee, is focused on supporting the loan data needs of teams primarily in the Treasury function of the CFO Group.
Responsible for the definition, stewardship, quality control, metadata and access of data owned by respective Domain. Directs the movement of data, potentially across multiple systems, overseeing its validation and organization and ensuring that it is available and fit for use by appropriate consumers. Manages execution of enterprise data management standards and data quality and control practices. Functions as a liaison between the DME and data management staff that carries out data management tasks. Identifies gaps in data management standards adherence and works with appropriate partners to develop plans to close gaps. Monitors key performance indicators and internal controls. Partners with Technology to create an infrastructure and processes that adhere to the EDM standards and other regulatory mandates. Works with other groups as needed, including Compliance, Audit, Operational Risk, and Technology to ensure effective controls over data for respective Domain.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership - develop the team, manage production and initiative workload, navigate complex topics and situations
  • Relationship Management - build and maintain relationships across Treasury partners (Liquidity, Balance Sheet Management, Funding, etc.), technology, project management, enterprise and line of business data teams, risk/compliance, etc.
  • Subject Matter Expertise - leverage, and continue to develop, knowledge of retail & wholesale lending products and the use of this data across Treasury needs
  • Research, Analysis & Design - understand and lead execution of our partners' data needs: research and analyze data sourcing/system options, create data specifications, and support user acceptance training
  • Data Controls & Data Incident Remediation - ensure team is positioned to effectively establish & monitor data controls, reconciliations, research incidents, and plan & execute against remediation


Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting/finance/business/analytics or related fields
  • 10+ years of data management/analysis and lending product expertise within the financial industry
  • Able to bridge business and technical topics, distill into simple verbal and written communication
  • Strong partnering, influence, and leadership abilities
  • Time management skills, detailed oriented, organized - able to balance multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
  • Able to self-direct/prioritize tasks while also helping manage the workload and development of supporting analysts
  • Curious, strategic, and independent thinker with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Proficient with SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint


Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Liquidity risk management and regulations
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding data management, governance, and architecture functions
  • Familiarity with Bank of America platforms / data eco-system
