Solution Architect - Data Framework
This position is a unique blend of both broad and deep technical expertise in one or more application platforms. The position is responsible for the products, architecture, and standards that ensure the team can build and support high quality robust data and analytics solutions. This position must build and maintain strong relationships with other IT departments as well as with portfolio and business partners, peers, staff, and vendors.
The Solution Architect works closely with key portfolio, business, Oracle Cloud infrastructure and security partners to design a strategic Solution technology vision and roadmap. Significant coordination is also required with infrastructure and database support groups for software upgrades, system upgrades, database upgrades, migrations, and hardware replacements.
The Solution Architect (SA) is a highly motivated, self-starter individual with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize shifting workloads in a dynamic environment.
The Solution Architect will develop data & analytics standards and processes and provides guidance for staff members. For operational issues, the Architect serves as a technical escalation and plays a key role during critical situations by coordinating and facilitating cross-functional troubleshooting, problem solving and root cause analysis.
The Solution Architect is responsible for proactively performing research on innovative application technology solutions and implementations in support of new projects, initiatives, opportunities, and procurement efforts.
This position will be based in Atlanta, GA / Birmingham, AL
Job Experience & Education :
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science/ Engineering or related degree preferred.
- 2 Years of Solution Architect role experience with overall 7 years design and architecture experience in data management and data analytics
- Advanced proficiency in Data Warehousing and ETL design
- Knowledge of Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), Oracle Analytics Cloud Services (OACS), Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12c
- Knowledge or experience with application integrations and extensions to gain efficiencies with OACS; Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse experience is a plus
- Familiarity working on Oracle Cloud SaaS/PaaS/IaaS operations preferred
- Ability to produce solution architecture design, business friendly presentations and excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of data migration, modeling, integration, warehousing, and design
- Good understanding of visualization tools
- Experience working in a fast-paced, competitive information technology organization, spanning various disciplines including applications, infrastructure and business support roles.
- Experience with BI Apps 11g modules (Financial/HR); Oracle Fusion Cloud Project Management and Human Capital Management (HCM) is a plus
