Position Overview
Autodesk is looking for a Data Engineering Manager to lead a team of data engineers within Marketing Operations and Technology group. You'll work in a fast-paced, cross-functional and highly collaborative environment alongside forward-thinking colleagues who are equally excited and passionate about the value that modern data and analytics can bring to the business and to our customers. As a Data Engineering Manager, you will need to develop technical and organizational expertise in the Marketing Analytics space at Autodesk. You will be responsible for leading day-to-day operations of the engineering teams, collaborating with data strategy, Business Analytics and Martech teams to execute on data roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Technical Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers to support product launches and roadmaps
- Use strong data infrastructure and data architecture skills to build a high-quality BI and data warehousing team and design the team to scale
- Manage data warehouse plans across a product vertical and drive data quality across the product vertical and related business areas
- Manage the delivery of high impact dashboards and data visualizations to drive the design, building, and launching of new data models and data pipelines in production
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field and 7 years of work experience in job offered
- Data ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) design, implementation, and maintenance on a large scale
- Programming in Python, Java
- Writing Advanced SQL statements
- Analyzing large volumes of data to provide data driven insights, gaps, and inconsistencies
- Data warehousing architecture and plans
- Dimensional data modeling, or schema design
- Data management and processing technologies including relational database technologies (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake) and non-relational database technologies (Presto, Spark, Hive)

- Strong technical aptitude and strong interest to learn best of class technologies around data warehousing, data wrangling, data quality and data governance
- Excellent problem solving and analysis skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, empathy, initiative and ownership
- Superb analytical skills, technical aptitude, influencing skills and attention to detail
- Eager to learn new things and passionate about technology
- Flexible and be able to embrace change effectively
- Ability to work effectively in teams
