Manifest Solutions is currently seeking a Sr. Data Engineer for a position in Dublin, OH.

• Proficiency in at least one of the scripting languages: Perl, Python or others (ideally in the context of data processing or data science)
• Perform data discoveries to understand data formats, source systems, file sizes, etc. This will include engaging with internal and external business partners in the discovery process.
• Experience with ETL and/or other Big Data processes.
• Experience with a variety of data modeling practices for OLTP and OLAP.
• Expert level proficiency in SQL.
• Ability to perform complex data analysis with large volumes of data, ideally with MSSQL or PostgreSQL and batch loading processes.
• Understanding Server, Network, and Hosting Environments.
• Some Web or RESTful API experience preferred.

Position Requirements:

• Manage and monitor large-scale ETL processes for patient/pharmacy related data.
• Delivers data acquisition, transformations, cleansing, conversion, compression, and loading of data into a variety of data models.
• Build and enhance the ETL codebase for added efficiency and capacity.
• Work on normalization and performance tuning analytics processes.
• Monitor key infrastructure components such as databases, SFTP servers, and other parts of the stack.
• Involved in all stages of product design and development, from development of the MVP thru architecting and building a scalable production system.
• Passion and proven track record for creating robust, scalable applications.
• Working on high performing teams, collaborating with team members and improving our ability to deliver
• Motivated by solving challenging technical problems, and get excited at the thought of no legacy code.
• Co-locate with the development team

Background Required:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, a good work ethic and sense of humor
• 5+ years of engineering experience in a professional environment, but skill fit is a higher priority to us than just work experience.

Technologies:

• Proficiency in multiple programming languages
• Python, MSSQL, and Hadoop experience highly preferred
• Comfortable working with open-source technologies
• Experience with RESTful web services a plus
• Experience with some form of web developments a plus
