Campbell Ewald is looking for an energetic and experienced Data Engineer to join our fun and expanding Analytics team. As part of the Analytics group, you will have the opportunity to help define and develop cloud-based data solutions and infrastructure for the agency. The successful candidate will provide leadership while driving the data technology roadmap delivery and ensuring business data is seamlessly managed and secured within the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the definition of CE’s data architectural strategy, data roadmap, operational plan, and life cycle management, to enable the organization to achieve its business strategy and financial performance targets.

- Ensure consistency of the enterprise data architecture, including the transition from current to future state.

- Instill financial discipline into the architecture of data flow, and ensure that the data roadmap fits into the financial constraints within which the business is operating.

- Partner and collaborate with cross-functional teams to mature our enterprise data management capability while successfully meeting KPI’s around the aggregation of customer-focused data flow, and minimizing redundancies and securing all data aspects.

· Data Integration:

- Leading the data engineering and integration process to create data pipelines and model new data sets into data warehousing systems.

- Collaborate with cross-functional to create and implement data strategies, design and build robust data flows and develop conceptual data models.

- Develop architecture supporting end to end data integration process using ETL and ELT, using Structured, semi-structured and Un-structured Data.

- Write complex SQL queries for purposes of analyzing data and evaluating how information needs would be translated into backend database structures.

- Define technical guidelines and standards, preparing reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation, and maintenance of data systems.

· Data Modelling and Design:

- Develop and design of models for complex analytical and data warehouse systems for transactional and reporting data needs, including performing tasks related to database design, data analysis, data quality, metadata management and support.

- Assist in the definition of a Master Data Management (MDM) strategy, manage the MDM platform, and ensuring that MDM practices and systems are properly utilized all over the data domain.

- Optimize the data architecture to enable quick data discovery using a diverse set of BI tools.

- Use data discovery and data mining techniques to acquire data from different internal data sources such as digital systems, CRM, marketing, and E-commerce to help derive business value.

· Data Governance and Integrity:

- Design consistent standards, principles, policies, and reference models, including application, security, infrastructure, information/data, data analytics and integration architecture.

- Ensure data design follows the prescribed reference architecture and framework, reflecting business rules, and facilitating data integration, conformity, and integrity.

- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and other standards.


Qualifications:

· Master’s degree or equivalent work experience in Engineering, Technology, or related field.

· 7+ years of experience of data engineering solutions development (including data and analytics), enterprise architecture, and integration with downstream transactional systems.

· Extensive ETL experience (Informatica PowerCenter, SSIS, or similar).

· Extensive data design and architecture experience with a focus on data warehouses, data reporting, data lakes, data aggregation and integration such as BigQuery (a must), Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Oracle, and MS SQL Server.

· Extensive experience with GCP services a must. Other cloud services a plus.

· Hands-on software development experience, including C++/C#, Java, Scala, SQL, and NoSQL.

· Modeling experience using such tools as Visio, Erwin, ER/Studio.

· BI and Analytics experience (Tableau, Power BI, SAS, Data Studio, Looker, etc.)

· Experience writing scripts in PowerShell, Unix Shell Scripting, Python etc.

· Experience with Agile practices (i.e., Scrum or Kanban).

· Familiarity with big data technologies (Hadoop, Airflow, Kafka, Spark) preferred but not required.

· Demonstrated experience in leading complex programs with significant change impact and multiple dependencies, requiring extensive collaboration across various groups in a matrix organization.

· Familiarity with version control, job scheduling and configuration management tools.

· Understanding of formal change control, incident management and defect management disciplines.

· Experience with assessment and solution architecture for Big Data technologies.

· Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.

· Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.

· Customer facing experience, ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.

· Certifications in enterprise architecture frameworks, e.g., TOGAF, BigQuery preferred.

· Excellent project management skills in communicating, leading, and negotiating simultaneous projects on a consistent basis.

· Consultative approach in guiding clients towards achieving their growth goals.

· Storytelling ability to draw conclusions in communicating “what does this mean / how will this impact my client business.”

· Ability to “speak the language” of both technical and business audiences alike.

· Adaptable, willing to learn, and eager to share knowledge with other team members.

· Superior ability to multitask to meet tight deadlines and operate in a fast-paced working (but fun) environment.

· Ability to allocate time to research and recommend emerging trends.

· Team player who is able to flourish and communicate with other team members across different offices throughout the country.
