This position is responsible for enhancing and maintaining existing data pipelines as well as developing new data management systems. The ideal candidate has a strong desire for excellence, with confidence in their expertise, and prides themselves on the stability and consistency of their work.

  • Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing data management systems for market sale or large-scale proprietary software for internal use.
  • Creates and maintains services and systems to ingest, transform, and store data for later use.
  • Creates and maintains APIs for efficient and secure query access to data by internal and external customers.
  • Monitors and maintains service availability to ensure reliability and accuracy of data.
  • Ensures that our pipelines are technically efficient, performant, cost appropriate, secure, and are built upon supported and maintainable technologies.
  • Work with the Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Threat Researchers to outline features for the product roadmaps.
  • Work with different teams and products to understand requirements and design solutions.
  • Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design.
  • Work independently complex projects.
  • Some latitude for independent judgment.
  • Actively participate or sometimes take the lead in Agile ceremonies.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • 3 - 5 years' experience is preferred.
  • Looking for Software Engineers with AWS experience, and experience with big data technologies like Spark, Hadoop, Snowflake, Kafka, etc.
  • Python/Java/Scala preferred.
  • Proven previous experience at the Associate Data Engineer or Software Engineer role
  • Extensive knowledge of the field.
  • A working knowledge of Agile Project development methodology and the ability to implement those methodologies in active projects.
  • Experience and knowledge of the relevant programming language requirements for this role and the ability to share that knowledge with team members.
  • High level of communication skills (verbal and written).
