Raytheon Intelligence and Space is seeking a talented data engineer who can build and maintain data sources that power decision making. The complexity of our enterprise system architecture presents challenges that require you to have an entrepreneurial spirit to create innovative solutions and an unrelenting tenacity to break down and solve complex problems.

To be successful you'll need to be a self-starter, capable of developing a robust data warehouse including defining data models and strategies, creating documentation / data cataloging, establishing a governance model, and optimizing system performance. You must be proficient in working with ETL tools, modeling multidimensional datasets, and building the right data pipelines to answer critical business questions. You will primarily support the RI&S Operations and Supply Chain organization and you will need to learn manufacturing processes and data to effectively collaborate with process owners and developers and create optimal solutions for the business.

You will have freedom to explore and introduce new tools and methodologies from industry. Bring all of your best and most creative ideas and be ready to roll up your sleeves to see your vision come to life.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Work with multiple, sophisticated datasets to accelerate operational and strategic data-driven decision making
• Build data pipelines and lead data conversions and migrations to enable digital thread initiatives
• Design and implement data models and strategies for our data warehouse
• Define data governance models
• Identify and address process improvement and automation opportunities
• Collaborate with business process owners and application developers
• Monitor and optimize system performance
• Lead digital transformation related initiatives

Required Skills

8 years of experience in IT, Engineering, or relevant field
• Experience building/maintaining data warehouse and data analytics solutions that are efficient, scalable, flexible, and highly available
• Ability to define strategies to leverage on premise, cloud, and hybrid technologies
• Proficiency w/ some data platform, data analytics, and data integration solutions
• Proficiency w/ some business intelligence tools
• Experience designing conceptual, logical and physical data models including source-to-target mappings, transforms, and data lineage
• Experience working with relational databases, de-normalized data structures, and ad hoc query/reporting
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise scale MS SQL Server, Oracle and/or cloud databases
• Advanced experience designing, debugging, and maintaining stored procedures, triggers, and ETL processes
• Strong data analysis & data engineering skills with the ability to ingest, process, store, analyze and visualize significant amount of information from multiple data sources
• DBA expertise with performance tuning, index optimization, clustering, linked servers and maintenance
• Experience implementing security infrastructure for production and test databases and introducing database auditing capability to document compliance
• Ability to predict growth based on application and data usage patterns and implement the necessary database changes to accommodate the growth
• U.S. Citizenship is required as the position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

Desired Skills
• Experience programming in C# or equivalent object-oriented language
• Experience with AI/ML
• Experience with cloud platforms AWS, Azure or similar
• Experience working in a cross-functional and matrixed organization to build consensus and drive strategy and standards
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• Experience working with a manufacturing team
• Experience in Aerospace/Defense Industry

Required Education• Bachelor's degree STEM, Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field

Desired Education• Master's degree STEM, Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
