What You'll Do
- Work with HEB Digital teams to provide data solutions for ecommerce, supply chain, store operations, finance, and marketing reporting and analytics platforms
- Contribute to existing data platforms and implement new technologies
- Develop a deep understanding of HEB's data and become a domain expert
- Ensure data is distributed in a timely and accurate manner
- Make data discoverable and accessible to business users
- Operate independently with assistance from more experienced developers as needed
- Contribute to overall system design, architecture, security, scalability, reliability, and performance of applications
Who You Are
- An expert at building high quality, scalable and resilient distributed systems.
- You understand data structures and algorithms.
- Strong experience wtih database development with Relational or MPP/distributed systems such as Oracle, Teradata or RedShift.
- Have built high-quality software in Java, Python or Scala.
- Created solutions using Amazon Web Services (or other cloud platforms), Docker and Kubernetes.
- Designed and developed ETL data pipelines using tools such as Airflow, Nifi, Sqoop or Kafka.
- Developed Big Data/Hadoop applications using Spark, Hive, HBase or Map Reduce is a huge plus.
- You have a passion for designing, developing and scaling big data technologies is a core part of your dream job.
- You think outside of the box and have a passion for building analytics solutions to enable business users in making time-sensitive and critical decisions
- You have strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
